Podcast: Sharing Passion and Purpose
I first met Nancy Moore in Oklahoma City when we both attended the book launch party for Share Your Stuff: I’ll Go First by Laura Tremaine. It was a fabulous evening and such fun to meet IN PERSON again! I’ll always remember that Nancy passed out Tazo Passion teabags (the individual packets) affixed with stickers of her podcast logo, “Sharing Passion and Purpose” – an ingenious combination that clearly left an impression. So much more impactful than a simple business card, likely to be lost or forgotten. Instead, Nancy made connections with people, which was completely in keeping with both the topic of Laura’s book and Nancy’s podcast.
We’ve enjoyed meeting for coffee here in Tulsa and having rambling conversations on a range of topics. It was so much fun when Nancy invited me to be a guest on her podcast! We kept it shorter than our coffee dates (the episode is 30 minutes) and I shared more of my personal story of changing careers, the common themes I see in my work in the “before and after”, and the role of both purpose and passion in Scissortail Digital.
Nancy is a business professor, writer, and podcaster who loves to hear people’s stories (we definitely have that in common). I love the wide variety of stories she showcases on her podcast and I’m delighted to be included. In this episode, I talk about my personal mission statement that I developed during a period of major transition (you’ll have to listen to the episode to learn what it is!), and I think it explains a lot about why Nancy and I hit it off right away. Enjoy this episode and check out more of the stories she features.
Thanks for having me, Nancy, and for the work you do in facilitating connection and sharing stories!
Hi, I'm Lisa
Photos have always brought me joy and are one of my favorite mediums for storytelling. But let’s be honest, the sheer volume of digital photos we all have can be overwhelming. It’s my goal through Scissortail Digital to help you enjoy, use, and organize your photos so you can go from jumbled to joyful!
